Vintage Coro Collectible Costume Jewelry


The CORO jewelry company started doing business about 1900. It was the largest of all costume jewelry manufactures, and marked the jewelry in many different names. Their earlier most well known jewelry line was CoroCraft with the mark Coro in script and a pegasus emblem. Subsequently  their top design would become Vendome, and they began to be top competition with some of the most famous manufactures of costume jewelry. The Coro company went out of business in 1979 after 80 years of producing costume jewelry.

Vintage Coro Jewelry has become a collectible and is known for their recognizable quality of costume jewelry from floral designs to figural designs. The famous Coro Duette was a double clip that could be combined into a single pin through a patented interlocking catch. Vendome the name of Coro's high end line of jewelry.  Coro prduces many pieces of patriotic costume jewelry during World War II which included the Emblem of Americas brooch which is a highly sought after collectible.  Another vintage collectible is the Coro Jelly Belly line of jewelry made from lucite and colored glass. Coro vintage collectible jewelry also includes Chain And Bead Necklaces, Imitation Pearls, Slipper And Belt Buckles, Collar And Cuff Buttons, Shirt-Studs, Bar-Pins, Brooches, Hat Pins, Watchchains, Watch Charms, Finger Rings, Bracelets, Hair Ornaments, Beads For Necklaces, Vanity-Cases, And Lavallieres.  They were mounted in or made of or plated With Sheffield Silver, Sterling Silver, and gold plate on brass foundation.
